Are Dobermans for everyone?
Do your research. A good source is Youtube Doberman Planet. I don’t feel they are for everyone. You need to make time to enrich your new Family Member’s life.
Are Dobermans good family dogs?
Dobermans were bred as companion protection dogs. They are affectionate, loyal (could be called Velcro dogs). They are good with children when properly trained and socialized.
Do Dobermans require a lot of training?
With any dog training is a must. Only difference is Dobermans are smart, love to learn and please. They are very intelligent and thrive on having consistency. If you don’t teach them they could become bored any pick bad habits.
How large do Dobermans grow?
Males typically weigh between 75 to 100 pounds.
Females typically weigh 60 to 90 pounds.
Do Dobermans do well in apartments?
First you must make sure your landlord will allow a Doberman. I require written permission and a possible phone call. If exercised regularly and not left alone for long periods of time it could be okay.
Do Dobermans do well with other family pets?
If introduced as a puppy they don’t know anything different, so if socialized as a young age it could work.
How do you guarantee your puppies?
All puppies are guaranteed for genetic issues for the first year (this will not include any diseases that can be prevented by the new owners not following vaccination protocols, such as Parvo or Distemper.
Should a genetic issue be discovered by a vet with testing before your puppies first birthday I will replace your puppy with another.
